Princess
Day 1 in the House!
This is Princess! She’s a sweet, gentle tabby who was TNVR – note the eartip – and is a socialized, outdoors community kitty, well-suited to be a sweetheart of a cuddler indoors. She’s about 9 to10 months young and loves to play and cuddle with her brothers, sisters, and elders of the outdoors community colony. She is a great hunter and has never had a mean streak – so the term “feral” hardly applies unless she is hunting prey.
On February 22, 2020, the weather was freezing, with snow on the ground so I picked her up and carried her deep into the house for the very first time. She stayed in the house for about 3 hours and did great with one exception. She got stuck trying to go from a bureau to a window sill without first checking below for a good landing zone (LZ), and needed a helping hand.
Sox – Day 2 in the house.
These videos from February 19, 2020, are only the 2nd visit deep inside the house by outdoors feral kitten, Sox. She meowed steadily for about 20 minutes, then settled down nicely. Her first visit was a few days ago, on Valentines Day. Each visit lasted about 2 hours and she was happy to go back outside to hunt and to play with her feral feline family.
If you heard birds chirping in the videos, the sound was coming from a video on the television. In the 5th video, near the end you might have heard a chirp and noticed Sox look intently to the right. Videos of kittens meowing and birds chirping were used with some effectiveness to get her out from under the bed. In order to get that room into a better place for feral visitors, I am going to want to put up some shelves and make an indoor climbing tree so cats can climb up almost to the ceiling.
I am so excited for both you and the kitties!
